How I love losing money...

Let's hear it for YRCW, jump 1% yesterday making me a happy man, but then sink 2.5% today, leaving me with a loss. What a pain in my ass. Add to that a sell in DF tomorrow (maybe it will be green...don't want to get my hopes up). This market is unbelievable, but I'm not breaking, bending horribly, but not breaking... Here are the details, sold 7.78630 shrs @ $38.04 for a net of:

YRCW: -$3.82 or -1.27%

As for a watch list, I picked a whole bunch of stocks, more than usual just to see if my system is working (i.e. all should show gains if the criteria are met tomorrow), but I won't trade many of them. I am tempted to only work with stocks above or near the 50dma. I don't know. Here they are:
PYX s, AFFX s, CAKE s, GLT s PSUN s, BRO s, GPRO s, JEF s.

Tomorrow is another day,

Back to trading...

Been a week since my last trade, mainly due to poor markets and resultant charts. Today was a different story, good watchlist and decent market behavior. Now, hopefully, I can get some follow through. The trades:

YRCW:

200th Post--And it is just a watchlist!!

Wow, I never thought I'd be posting this long. I think the 1000th post will be the most memorable. I am way behind, I think I don't even have a trade from last week posted--sorry, but I am struggling to keep true to my system. It has been a dissmal couple of months, and I would rather focus on trading rather than blogging.

Watch list for today:
ARQL s, HW s, MSCC s.

We'll see how that goes!

Unbelievably Behind...

But what else is new. Am still having a hard time finding nice stocks that bounce off a short term low and retrace previous levels. So far May is 0 for 3. No worries. I am going to print out every page of notes I've made since starting to see if I can find any quantitative measures that provide profitable trades. In the meantime here is my watch list for Fed Day.

CBK s, INSU s, KNSY s, SCSC s.

May 3rd Watch List...

A select number of candidates from the 200 charts downloaded last night. I'll be watching the following stocks although I only have capital for one more position in addition to the WBS and SCSC already in play.

HTCH s, LYV s, SCHS s, CKFR s, AVY s, NEM s, UIS s.

May 2 Trades...

Two trades today after watching the markets behave nicely. Slightly worried about chasing stocks, but then again, given the lack of overhead resistence, market-wide, they may be ready to run.

WBS:

SCSC:

**Note: I placed my stop loss for SCSC far to tight and it was hit literally minutes after the trade was entered. I re-evaluated the level, set it at a reasonable, yet lower price, and have watched the stock closely. Yes, it was subjective, but it is also evolutionary.

Watchlist for May 2, 2007

Borning day yesterday, did 'make' some coin paper trading my day trading method. Nothing major, just seeing if I have the ability to even think about day trading. Today was okay.

A couple good charts downloaded tonight, many banks and a couple tech. Banks worry me a bit, but maybe they are setting up to run. I'll be watching:KOMG s, PHLY s, RBN s, SCSC s, UBSI s, WBS s, CNC s, FCF s, and NARA s.

Of course, I'll be posting trades if and when they occur.

April Results

April was a see-saw month to say the least and I drastically underperformed relative to the market. It is the way it goes, I stuck to my method, just had some trades really go against me. I am not going to change a thing, just keep searching for high quality candidates, follow my criteria, and try to bank some profits in May.

May: -$2.18 or -0.75% (3 winners in 8 trades)

**Adjusted P/L due to BRC divy**

May: -$1.05 or -0.30% (4 winners in 8 trades)

I may work on compiling all my 'notes', those sheets I post with trades to see if I can identify common traits in winning trades and/or losing trades. I am not looking to change my method, just tweak it. I know I had a couple trades really roll-over on me as the market did not have many follow-through days (at least in the stocks I picked), so tweaking my stop loss is going to be key.

No candidates for Tuesday the 1st.
