Pre-open 03-31-2007...
The last day of the month, tempting not to trade and just go on to May with a slug of capital. But I did find a couple candidate charts, so I will be trading if my criteria are met. Interestingly 5/23 will be the one year anniversary of my trading (at least the current swing trading method). I may have to tally my results to see how things are going. I do know that I am quite profitable (although I could be more), but will interesting to see how my trading has evolved (or devolved as it may be, sure seems to be more difficult now!).
Candidates: HRH s, FBTX s, CEM s, and SUNW s. Some charts are better than others. Save SUNW, these are all first time candidates I think. May be interesting. If I don't trade Monday, I'll post my April numbers, if I do, the numbers will wait until the position is closed.

Pre-open 04-26-2007...
Not much action, the markets are rallying but the charts are not looking good. Throw in earnings season and possible candidates become hard to find. Today I will be watching: LUV s, KDE s, and CYH s. All decent looking charts but I have not checked for upcoming earnings.
Admittidly, I am a little gunshy given the rough couple months, but I am okay with the loses. I just have to keep on sticking to my method, and the money will come.

Jinx, I do it to myself all the time!
It was just too happy with my +1% gain in PLNR yesterday evening and, inevitably, the stock just tanked today. Utter crap. And to make matters worse, the AM window just could not come soon enough and I sold near the low of the day, no surprise. All I have to understand is that as soon as my capital is built, I can forgo the window system and trade real targets/stop losses. Sold 39.57784 shares @ $7.40, a full 2% below my desired stop loss--dang trading windows!
PLNR: -$7.13 or -2.38%
As for a watch list: IFC s and ASH s look decent.
I am tempted to start tweaking my method here. PLNR coupled with PSA just kill me. I've been up >1.5% on both and watched the stocks tank with loses >-1.5% in the end. There is no trend to the market right now and multi-day gains are hard to come by. It is tempting to start taking profits super early-say 1/3 at 1%, more at 2%, etc., but I don't want to give up future gains just for my piece of mind. I know my system works, so I think I am going to continue prodding along. In the meantime, I am going to work my ass off building a sizeable trading account at Zecco and start paper-trading intraday using my simulator.

Dumb, dumb subjectivity...
Oh, trying to predict the market is such a foolish game. BLTI tanked early in the session but recovered nicely. Instead of appreciating the bounce and collecting a slight reward, I decided to only half honor my stop loss by selling half the position. Of course, the stock declined and I sold the other half at a lower price than the first--dumb, dumb. I knew it was foolish, but I need to test myself. Here are the trades and the final tally. Sold 20.96038 shrs @ $7.156 and another 20.79327 shrs @ $7.07 for a net of:
BLTI: -$3.01 or -1.00%
On the bright side, I initiated a position in PLNR after it held up in the morning and it is current up nicely--risking a reversal of fortune for saying this...My notes:
PLNR:
As for a watch list, I am only watching F s, as nothing else set up nicely today...

BLTI Trade and Monday's Watch list...
Took a position in BLTI Friday AM after it was holding up nicely near support. The stock may have joined the overall market rally (and it kinda did...). Here are my notes:
BLTI:
As for a watch list, not much to view as the gap up really makes my type of trades hard to find: PLNR s and RGR s.
Quick Watchlist 04-20-2007...
Far behind in posting watchlists, but not a big deal. Have not been trading much, focusing on other important tasks. I have three candidates for today, but given the expected opening gap this morning, it may be too late to get into positions.
CBK s, RMD s, and BLTI s

Sells and sells...
Sold both WM and CECO after they had weak mornings. Sold 4.99834 shrs @ $30.988 and 3.79864 shrs of WM @ $40.601. Nets are great (esp. given my last couple of months):
WM: +$7.48 or +2.493%
CECO: +$9.83 or +3.277%
As for a watchlist, not much to watch: UTEK s.

Small watchlist for 04-17-2007...
I only have a small watch list for today because I only scanned for dojis. I did not download EOD quotes last Friday so I could not scan for bullish engulfings or morning stars as they needed the Friday data.
I'll be watching: LEA s and MXIM s

Oh so behind, call it a Fri the 13th malaise...
Let's see, I need to post my losing trades, post my winning trades, provide some commentary, no watchlist because I forgot to download quotes, etc, etc, etc. Wow, what a week and I am so far behind. But today is Monday and I hope to catch up with everything.
First the sells (transacted Thursday): Sold 24.57002 shrs of IPG @ $12.10; Sold 8.05932 shrs of BRC @ $30.89; Sold 3.13578 shrs PSA @ $93.665 for nets of:
IPG: -$2.71 or -0.903%
BRC: -$1.06 or -0.424%
PSA: -$6.30 or -2.100%
Of all the trades, PSA hurts the post as it was +2.0% at one point and came all the way back--big no-no!!! I'll post some commentary and minor changes to my method in the near future.
New Trades: On Friday I initiated two new positions in WM and CECO. My notes are below, but they are incomplete--again Fri the 13th malaise...
WM:
CECO:
On Monday, I took partial profits in both trades as they were +2.0% on the day and a little higher in total--no more PSA-like crap in my portfolio, I'm here to lock in profits not watch them evaporate!!!
Sold 4.99834 shrs of CECO @ $31.00 and 3.79865 shrs of WM @ $40.34. Full P/L when the positions are closed.

Quick watchlist...
I need to post my trades from Thursday (all sells), but that can wait. For right now, I want to get my watchlist posted so I can use it for the AM trading window, just in case a candidate looks good.
WM s, INSU s, ACXM s, CECO s, NDSN s, and THG s are my candidates for Friday.

Stupid buy in IPG and no watchlist..
It was not actually a stupid buy, just another trade that failed to perform as expected. I am almost expecting positions to turn against me these days. The markets are surely testing my mental fortitude, but I shall not yield. You can see my notes below and everything looked good. Had the FOMC grown some balls or the markets realize that the minutes were not a surprise, everything would be okay. Looks like I'll be closing both PSA and IPG in the AM window...F' me.
IPG:
No candidates todays as the bearish day did not help print any bullish candlestick patterns. I'll wait to see if an early morning rally can save my positions, but I am not too optimistic. I love losing money, it makes my days so enjoyable (sic).

Closed JBL...and a watch list...
JBL got me this morning as it just dropped below my stop loss. Being true to my method, I sold. It actually provides some capital for the coming days so I was more than happy. The FolioFN curse/benefit kicked in again as the stock popped right before the sell window and I came away with a gain. Sold 11.78134 shares @ $21.281 for a net of:
JBL: +$0.72 or +0.288%
As for a watch list, I am looking at the following stocks. Given the FOMC minutes release tomorrow, it could be in an interesting day. The sideways action on Monday and Tuesday shows how nobody knows what the minutes will say and how the market will react. Oh boy. Candidates: TUES s, THG s, WBS s, IPG s, AGYS s, GKSR s, LYV s, SRR s, DRS s, MTB s, and RHI s.
That's all for now, I'll post any transactions that may happen. I am crossing my fingers, but expecting the worse for tomorrow's minutes.

Selling KRC, Buying JBL and BRC, March Stats, and so much more...
Busy day, but I am actually posting on the same day I made trades--wow! As the title suggests, I sold KRC today after it fell noticably, all REITS had a problem. Oh well, resulted in a final winning trade for March and helped improve my stats. Sold 2.05044 shares @ $74.213.
KRC: +$5.65 or +1.883%
As a result my March numbers are:
-$18.11 or -6.04% (2 winners out of 11 trades!!)
April is starting better though (see KRC above) and two good positions in JBL and BRC. See my notes below.
JBL:
BRC:
I'll have a watchlist later tonight (although I may not have any buying power...).

Back to normal...
Took partial profits in KRC after it reached my first target. Going back to my old method sure does feel comfortable, and the fact it produced a winning result, is really nice. Sure it is just coincidence, but it makes me upset that I changed my system. Oh well. Now KRC is in trailing stop mode until it declines ~1%, I'll let it do its thing. PSA is also looking okay...Sold 2.05044 shares @ $74.85. Will provide final results when the position is closed.
I'll be watching: BRC s, BKUNA s, FBC s, and JBL s today.

Pre-open 04-03-2007...
Just a watchlist for today. Still have positions in PSA and KRC open. I'm watching: PKY s, ACF s, LCAV s, CHH s, and HD s.
A buy (PSA) and a sell (IBCP)...
My streak of picking losers continues (maybe not a streak, but at least a pattern). Sold IBCP as it could just not stay above my stop loss (and a generous stop loss if I may say so). 14.77105 shares at $19.949 for a net of:
IBCP: -$5.33 or -1.78%
Arg. Oh well, took a position in PSA after it was holding well in the early morning action, although I was really not planning on trading--we'll see how smart the trade is... See my notes:

Post-open 04-02-2007
A little late as always, but still need to get this watchlist posted before the am trading window. I am watching: TBL s, YRCW s, PNRA s, TECUA s, BC s, and PSA s. Having these links posted makes it easier to track the candidates. I'll post any trading activity, including trades on current KRC and IBCP positions.
